• Basically, RIPv2 with 128-bit addresses

• • New port number, runs in parallel to RIP

• Widely deployed in the 6bone

• Reasonably well-tested and stable

• Probably not a long-term solution

• • For the same reasons as v4 RIP
  • But may hang around indefinitely nonetheless
